Botanical description: Pleiospilos bolusiiPleiospilos bolusii generally appears with chunky pairs of leaves, well furnished with spots that take on purplish hues in high light. Originating from the Little and Great Karoo in South Africa, P bolusii are active in summer and manage to produce their large blooms during autumn, with only modest amounts of water. Pleiospilos nelii, which is generally single-headed, flowers later (November/December) and requires a little moisture until flowering is over. |
